Clairessence
Clairessence means "clear scent". Clairessence is the ability to smell things not technically present at that time. For instance, sometimes you will smell a person's perfume even though they aren't in the room, or you smell cigarette smoke even if no one is smoking. These scents can be signals from spirit that they are present. Clairessence can also be used to detect illness. For instance, dogs are particularly well-known for being able to smell disease in humans.
